BBEX Approaching & Knightune Roadmap (2026)

Over the past couple weeks, we’ve been doing some prep work related to our upcoming BBEX collaboration, handling extraneous podcast activity, and we’re continuing to work on Knightune. For more details, read on!

BBEX is coming up, and like last year, our own @LunarSpotlight will be co-hosting the event! If you’re not familiar, BBEX is an international showcase of fan-made Touhou works of all sorts, from music and games, to fan art, cosplays, and beyond. The streamed events are formatted similarly to how a Nintendo Direct might be presented while also incorporating their own unique flair. Stay tuned for the stream date which is expected to be in late December.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been monitoring unusual podcast download activity from a very small handful of clients who we suspect are likely automated. This sort of activity has resulted in hundreds of podcast downloads across multiple clients, and thousands of downloads overall which has potentially impacted the ability for normal users to download or listen. It’s very obvious to us when a user is attempting to download a single episode 20+ times in a single day, but if you notice you aren’t able to download podcasts or use the website, reach out to our staff and we’ll get that sorted.

Finally, Knightune continues to make progress, and to help explain what our outlook is for this project, we’ve tentatively segmented our work into phases which will help introduce different groups of users to this project. You can find a tentative roadmap via a separate forum thread where questions and comments related to this specific focus are welcome.
